ESCOLA SECUNDÁRIA JOSÉ SARAMAGO
The intervention project reflects the guidelines defined by the Secondary School Modernisation Programme and meets the new requirements of the school’s educational project, contemporary teaching/learning models and current environmental quality and energy efficiency standards.
The exterior spaces were re-designed, allowing for improved accessibility and increasing the permeable surface area and tree coverage.
The intervention is characterised by a remodelling of the existing buildings in terms of reorganisation of the interior space, upgrading of interior wall and floor coverings, and a complete replacement of the electrical, telecommunications, water and wastewater infrastructures.
A new building was erected, a new covered circulation space added and the exterior spaces were remodelled.
