The intervention in Bombarral Secondary School is characterised by a remodelling of the school’s pavilions in terms of their interior spatial organisation.
A new body that unites the two schools – preparatory and secondary – has an east/west orientation and also integrates the new main entrance in the form of a gatehouse with extended roof coverage up to existing building. This new longitudinal body houses the library, multipurpose hall, laboratories and classrooms
The buildings belonging to the old secondary school now house the spaces for attendance to the public, the New Opportunities Centre and the school management/administration spaces. To the north of these are offices for personalised attendance, conventional classrooms and art classrooms.
On the extreme west, the former preparatory school houses the kitchen, canteen, classrooms and further public attendance spaces.
